The CA requests the user’s permission to start, continue, or end the conversation.
Cue example
CA: “Do you want to start the session?”, “now we are finished. Do you want to continue with the conversation?”
Cue impact
At the beginning and end of the interaction an agent can requests the user’s permission to continue. This is one of many empathic techniques which impacts the intention to use the agent, likeability and enjoyment of the agent (Lisetti et al. 2013).
