Speech rate of an agent impacts the perceived personality type (Lee, Nass 2003; Hess et al. 2005) and a speech rate variation can be used to express or support emotions in a human-like manner (Becker et al. 2004; Bickmore et al. 2010) and impacts the credibility of the agent (Cowell, Stanney 2005).
